Mother's Day is the Day I get to leave all this CRAZINESS behind and not turn back...... RIGHT???

Fresno Grizzlies Game ~

For FHE last night we headed to Downtown Fresno to enjoy a nice game of Baseball as a family. The Fresno Grizzlies Played the Las Vegas 57's. It was a relaxing game, and by the looks of the picture below Hailey was relaxing before the game even started!! Not having a nap will do this to you when you have a 5 minute car ride, and then a free ride on Daddy's back in a comfy carrier! Landon was not napping at all, he enjoyed looking around to see what was going on. He got a free ride from Mommy.....

We knew Hailey needed to be woken up to enjoy the game, but she is such a sweetie when she is asleep.... she snuggled up in Daddy's arms after we woke her up the first time....

It was a nice night, not too cold and NO rain! YEAH! I think one of my favorite parts to our FHE Night was that Hailey kept pointing out to the pitcher and saying "Preston!" My little brother Preston plays baseball right now at Natomas High School, and she has been to a few of his Baseball games when he played for the local league. It was just too cute that she thought it was Preston out there playing! :) We called Preston to let him know his little niece thought he was playing! :)

It was a good time had by all! We got a free hot dog and soda, free golf passes to Blackbeard's, and a free pass to the local water park all with admission!! Matt and I were very happy with the SWAG we scored here! Now we did spend a little extra cash to get mommy her favorite treat..... COTTON CANDY! ~ YUMMMOOOO!!

Oh, and The Grizzlies WON 10-2! YEAH FRESNO!!!

All you need is LOVE ~

I have been married for SIX years! YEP! Matt and I are getting OLD! Time sure does FLY by when you are having fun! I thought it would be fun to post some pictures from our Wedding Day. We were married for Time and Eternity on May 3rd 2003. I woke up that morning to rain... I was SO worried about our pictures, and my hair, but as we walked out of the temple, the rain cleared, and it was beautiful!! These pictures have not been touched up, that is really how it looked that day at the Oakland Temple.....

And in celebration of our SIX YEARS accomplishment.... the Six Things I love about my Husband Matty ~

1. He LOVES being a father. He comes home from work and plays with the kids (almost)everyday. There is NOTHING better in the world than to see your Husband holding your baby and the baby just smiling away.....

2. He fights fair with me. In the first years we were ALWAYS fighting about something... We still fight but not as often, but when we fight we learned to fight fair. I laugh when couples say they do not fight... yeah right...

3. He honors his Priesthood. Matt has always been able to give me a blessing or our babies a blessing at a moments notice. There sure is PURE beauty in a Real Man who honors something so sacred. I am SO lucky that he has always strived to be a worthy Priesthood Holder.

4. He brings out the best in me. I used to have Girlfriends who were able to bring out the FUN side of me.... after dating Matt for a little while, he was able to bring out a side of me I never knew. He loves me for who I am, not what others might want me to be. He can make (convince) me to do things I never would have done ~ and I am thankful later because I gain a stronger sense of who I am through his loving pushes!

5. He works VERY hard to provide for his family. It feels like we have been on a roller coaster the last two years with moving and jobs and such. We have had our ups and downs, but I know that there is NOTHING Matt won't do to provide for his family. I am also very lucky that he had the willpower to Graduate from College. We both knew that Matt needed "higher education" for us to be able to live comfortably in the future. I sure am glad we worked so hard the first years of marriage for that to get accomplished!! ( We are now in negotiations with each other about Matt going back for his Masters... not sure if I want to be a member of the Single Mother's Club quite yet...)

6. And last but not least.... I love him because he is Matt! Anyone who is able to get to know my husband would agree that he is a fun person to be around. He is the life of a party, and knows how to have fun. He has my family laughing all the time, and is always game for a good time! We have fun where ever we go!! I tease him often about the silly things he does, but I really love him for all those silly things!

I love you Matthew David Bird! My Prince Charming HAS come!!

GRANDPA BIRD! ~

I am sure many of you know these two "LOVE BIRDS" shown below. For those of you who do not... this is Grandma and Grandpa Bird!! This weekend we went to a Party to Celebrate Grandpa Dee's 80th Birthday!! It was a GREAT Party! I was able to meet their High School friends, and see LOTS of family as well!I put Matt in Charge of Pictures, and as you can tell, there were not many taken.... In fact the only pictures taken were of his lovely daughter and her collection.....
The party was at the El Dorado Church Building in Stockton, CA. There were tables set up with little goodies in the center. One of the goodies was little Bubble Blowers. Hailey made it her quest to collect all the Bubble's she could, and play with them. She was going up to people she did not know and pointing to the bubbles on the table and saying "Please" We all laughed as we watched her. This picture is a GREAT one right?? Thanks Matt! ~ :)

It was so nice to Celebrate the Life of Grandpa Bird. He is such a wonderful man! Matt and I are thankful everyday for him, and the sacrifices he has made for his family. We are truly blessed to have a Grandpa so loving close by! After the party at the Church, family gathered at Matt's Parents house for a little Mini Reunion. We ate pizza, celebrated yet another Birthday, and just talked and laughed the night away. It was a Perfect Weekend Celebration!!

Happy EARLY Birthday Hailey! ~

We had a WONDERFUL Weekend of Fun Planned! On Friday Night we drove to Sacramento to Celebrate a Special Day with a VERY special girl! ~ Hailey is turning 2 on May 15th, and my family was not going to be able to make it to Fresno for the party we are having, so we celebrated an EARLY birthday party with them! ~ Grandma and Grandpa treated us to Apple bee's!! We took advantage of the 2 for $20 deal! YUMMM!! We told our waiter we were celebrating Hailey's Birthday, and Mine and Matt's Anniversary, so after the FAB dinner, they brought out a brownie and ice cream for Hailey and come little things for us too. I think they were the Shooter Desserts.... yumo! I think Hailey's favorite thing was the Balloon she scored!!

I love going to visit my family in Sacramento! My parents ROCK, and my siblings do too ~ We love them so much! Below is my little sister Sharon, my Daddy Bryan, my baby brother Preston, and my mommy Lisa! ~

After the GREAT dinner, we headed home for some BIRTHDAY CAKE! Actually Hailey got this cupcake from G&G, and we got Cream Cheese Brownies and Ice Cream! YUMMM!!! Hailey even sang Happy Birthday! It was TOO cute! ~
We had to give her a bath after the cake. She was not too dirty, but we were not taking any chances. She is such a dainty little eater, we wanted to see her DIG IN to the cake, but she was very lady like with her cake... not sure where that came from! Thanks for the EARLY birthday Party!! We love you and look forward to your next visit to see us! ~ xoxoxo

My Garden.......

So yeah, here is the UPDATE you have all been DYING to see... right! ~ There are LOTS of Strawberry "Buds" but I was SO happy to see like 4 Strawberries already! They are doing GREAT! And I hope they taste as great as they look! ~

Here is my SAD Green Bell Pepper plant. Something is eating at the leaves.... I guess I need to spray.... any suggestions??

Here is my EARLY GIRL tomato plant. She is looking wonderful! We also have a BIG BOY tomato plant. I call them my Princess and Prince plants.... I hope this makes them feel better, and want to grow special for me!

Here are my WATERMELONS! YUMMMM!! These suckers are looking MIGHTY fine! I can not wait for them to get bigger!!

And last but not least is my Onions! YEAH! Sprouts make me happy! Matt loves the smell of cooked Onions, so lets hope they smell as great from our garden! We were SO excited to see the plants doing well for the most part! We are SO open to any suggestions on what we can do to make it better! We Love our little garden! ~YEAH!

Lucky Landon!!

This is LUCKY LITTLE LANDON! He is all happy Snugly in his new blanket that his Aunt Ally made for him. When he was just born I made a comment to Ally that we did not have many boy blankets, and I guess she decided to remedy that problem PRONTO! ~ She actually made him an all Blue Blanket, but it is stuck in the Bird Family Limbo of trying to get it to us. Ally told me that it would be too small now, so she decided to make another one! OH how I love that she loves my kiddies! So here is a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to Aunt Ally for the Adorable Blanket! Landon will love it FOREVER! ~

Hailey and Landon ~

Strawberries are in Season, so we decided to make Angel Food Cake with Strawberries and Whip Cream for dessert on Sunday Night. Uncle John was preparing the cake, and he had a little help with the Taste Testing Part.... YUMMMMM!!!

And I just LOVE this little CHUBBERS!! This is Landon Sucking ALL over Daddy's Hand! He is getting SUCH a fun personality! I just LOVE it! Does he not look JUST like Matt?? What a cutie! He is 3.5 months here! Time sure does fly!! ~ What name is more appropriate for Landon?? Chubbers or Butterball....other suggestions are welcome.... Matt says he is the Michelin Man, or the State Puff Marshmallow Baby!! Call him what you want ~ He is ALL mine! :)

Backyard Camping ~

Thursday Night Matt made mention to me that he would like to go Camping this weekend because it was going to be a nice weekend, and it would not be too hot. I gave him my CRAZY look and said "The only Camping I am doing is in the Backyard!!" To which he replied "GREAT! Let's do it Friday Night!" ~

So this is Matt Friday Night after he got off work putting up the tent. Landon and I were watching, and Hailey was helping ALOT! ~ You can't really tell, but she has one of the tent poles and she is hitting the tree with it....Here is the tent ALL ready for the Bird Campers!! Hailey has never been in our tent before, so this was a first for both the kids!!

Here they are waiting for Matt to get the AeroBed.... yes.... my kind of camping includes an Air Mattress... don't hate! ~ We had a GREAT night! Hailey enjoyed playing with the Flashlight, and we did great for our first campout!! We zipped our sleeping bags together, and thought we were good to go! Little did we know Little Miss Princess was going to frolic all over the tent until midnight! It was probably the worst night sleep I have had since we were in Fresno, we lasted until 6:30, and by that time I was ready to get in my nice warm bed!! When we came inside our FAB clock that gives the temp. read the outside temp to be 39.... so yeah... it was cold for little old me! ~ It is one of those fun-long nights you will always remember! I know Hailey will remember it too! :)

Hailey's in my High Heals ~

I think there has been a post already about Hailey wearing my High Heals around. Let me tell you... this girl walks better in these Heals than ANYONE I know! ~ She practically came out of my womb with heals on! Right?? She is such a kick lately, I just had to share this picture with you! ~ And this happens about every day.... she is now able to open our doors, and she is in my closet EVERY chance she gets! ~ That's my girl! ~
