So this year we had MOST of the family here for Independance Day! We are missing Crystal and Pete, but everyone else was here! Not such a common thing anymore to have most of us around! We had a fun filled holiday! We started it off with a nice Pancake Breakfast at church! That is a big tradition here in Sacramento, I am SURE we have gone every year! Matt, Myself and Sharon rode our bikes over to the church with Hailey and Logan in the bike trailer, that was loads of fun. There were two wards celebrating together, so it was a HUGE croud there! Matt and I were in charge of passing out the food, which kept us from enjoying just sitting and relaxing, but it was still fun!
After that we all hung out at my parents and had Lunner (lunch-dinner) of Hot Dogs and Hamburgers! You know all the usual! So then we headed to Stockton to catch the fireworks on the Delta and for Matt to get a little riding time in. The best thing about the day was Hailey watching the fireworks. At first she just stared at them and pointed to them in the air. Then she laid down on my lap on the back of the boat and just took it all in with her Ohh and Ahh's. She really is such a big girl! She loved it, and Matt and I did too!
We sure are lucky to live in such a GREAT land, and have the freedoms we are able to enjoy. Life sure is just a little bit better when we are able to celebrate these things! ~
