I am having a BAD DAY! ~

These pictures of Hailey seam to say it all! She was upset Wed morning because she was not able to see Little Einsteins upon request to her mother who was on the phone fighting with either our Insurance Company or The Dr's Office..... So this was her attitude at the time, and if there was a camera in my face it would have been a similar look... Now this picture is her just SECONDS after I turned Little Einsteins on... and this is the look that I had today as I finally got everything straightened out with my issue.... see below.....First of all let me just say that I know everyone is a son or daughter of our Heavenly Father and he loves us all very much! I try to be a nice person and have a good attitude about the crap that is tossed my way, but I went CRAZY MOMMY on a few unsuspecting reps on the phone. Imagine that you are in my shoes, you have a crazy (yet adorable) toddler and a NEWBORN at home and you get a call from your Pediatrician that you need to reschedule your apt for that day. Now you have woken up early and you have gotten yourself and your children FED and DRESSED to get out for the day by 10:00.... (yes I know I am supermom... I was ready at 10:00 for a 1:00 apt) back to the story... they call because there is a problem with the Insurance... as in they do not see Landon has any..... Ok, So I am paying LOTS OF MONEY (amount withheld so you do not faint) for Cobra Benefits so I can have this child, and there is not insurance on file for my son whom I just gave birth to......... Now I am crying and let the Dr. Office go because I need to call Insurance Obviously.... So as a side note I had my first baby with Kaiser (OH HOW I MISS KAISER>>> REALLY I DO!!!) and everything is SO easy there, It is a "one stop shop" I can see my Dr. then go to the Pharmacy and get my prescription then go to the Lab and get my work done, then take my daughter to her Pediatrician all at one place! HEAVEN I know.... So needless to say we are NOT currently with Kaiser and I was not aware of the "RULES" as they put them... I guess I screwed things up because I changed my provider to Hills Medical and left Hailey with Sutter Gould... the reason for this was because the Sutter Gould Dr. did not offer Maternity Care, so I switched over to have my Mother In Law be my OBGYN for the Pregnancy, and did not know that means my son would need to be with a Hills Medical Physician for the first month of his little life. Well I thought I would just take him to my current Pediatrician... NOT! I broke the cardinal "RULE" and any visits made outside the Hills Medical Network for my son would not be covered... Now picture me CRYING because I have already taken him to see the Sutter Gould Pediatrician and I am worried that I will be paying A WHOLE LOT MORE MONEY for a stinking check up.... moving forward.... I had to call and get some lady who I do not even know that the Insurance set up as my sons pediatrician to send a referral to a Dr local because they set me up with someone in Stockton for him.... I am in Sacramento and I am NOT traveling with a toddler and a newborn over an hour all by myself THANK YOU VERY MUCH..... so after crying and yelling and then pleading with SOMEONE with Insurance to do SOMETHING because I am going to REALLY loose it if not... I get the supervisor Jessie at ext 27308. Let me tell you I LOVE me some Jessie! Well the Pediatrician for my son would not send a referral because she has not seen him yet, so she was not going to be any help was painting me into a sad corner... then the rep with insurance was going to transfer him to the Dr. I wanted over as of the 1st of Feb (NO I AM NOT PAYING FOR COBRA ANOTHER MONTH IF I DO NOT HAVE TO) Hello... this is me HYPERVENTILATING!! I finally get my beloved Jessie who makes a few calls and figures things out! ~ THANKS JESSIE! ~ I realise this is a VERY random post, and I am SURE i left out details, but the pain in my back is gone now that I was able to get it out!! So to review.... I was upset, now I am not! And my son is being seen by a local Dr. tomorrow and I will NOT be re-newing our Cobra benefits! SARA HELP ME FIND GOOD INSURANCE!

Thank you for letting me spaz out! Anyone who actually read this message is a saint! THANKS! And if anyone needs Jessie's help let me know! ~

This is just a cry out to all those who love me enough to remember our family in your prayers... they might have found someone to take over our rental here in Elk Grove... I don't think I can take another week away from PLEASE anyone who can.... THANKS

Carousel Ride

So we went to the Arden Fair Mall for a nice family outing last weekend. Matt decided that he needed to Upgrade our phone, so we headed for the Verizon Wireless Store... who would have thought that it was right next to the Carousel Ride?? And what little girl would not want to go on this fabulous ride??
After she cried about riding it because Matt and the Cell Phone Rep were taking F-O-R-E-V-E-R, I broke down and told her if she stopped crying and acted like a big girl she could get a ride.... what a lucky girl ~
So she picked the cat... who rides the cat on a carousel... it thought it was all about the horses... I must be out of date! And just so you know it was $2.00 a ride, so me letting her go was a BIG DEAL! ~ :) Totally worth the money! ~

WARNING.... Adult Content..... just FYI
As I sit here, I am listening to The Little Mermaid in the NEAR background, and Princess Hailey asking me what brother is doing....
"He is eating." I tell her as she pokes at my boob.....
I also hear my little Prince Landon sucking away and think how lucky I am to be able to breastfeed him.
It must be weird for a little child to understand what is going on..... deep thought.....
Anyways... I got on to post that Landon's umbilical cord thing fell off last night!! Hallelujah!!! I am not sure what it is, but for some reason that is the ONLY thing that freaks me out about the whole new baby thing! Once that is off it's like a HUGE burden is lifted from my shoulders! Yeah, thanks ~ Sorry I warned you this post was random......
I have to go, I just heard the noise of a dirty diaper ~ YEAH I LOVE BEING A MOM :)

Hailey loves to get dressed up in the clothes Grandma and Grandpa Andersen got her for Christmas! Here are a few pictures of our little Princess ~

Here she is in her Princess Cowgirl Boots and TUTU ~ Here she is all GLAMMED up with her boaAnd here is little Cinderella... shoes and all! ~

Our day at the Park

We went to the park Tuesday afternoon as a family. Matt had to go back to work on Wed. so we took advantage of the great weather and here are some pictures of the day.....

Here the kids are in the double stroller, we are VERY glad we got this.... not sure what we would do without it!! Apparently Hailey want's to be Prince Charming too.... (she almost always has one of Landon's pacifiers in her mouth.) Matt and Hailey playing soccer. Hailey has already mastered kicking the ball, we are working on the basics so she is PRO by the time she starts playing at three.... ( think i am kidding huh?) We look forward to many more park trips as the weather gets better!!

A day at the

He is here! We are SO happy to announce the SAFE and FAST arrival of Landon David Bird....
He is two days old in this picture. Grandma Andersen got him this pacifier, he is our little Prince Charming. I am having a hard time not being able to put bows and clips on his head, so this pacifier is really helping me cope with the "accessories" (or lack thereof) for boys....
He was an active baby in my belly, and this picture shows that he is STILL an active baby!! I could not get him to sit still for any of the pictures.
Hailey LOVES her little brother. She can not yet say his name, but when we ask her where her brother is she points and says "Baby". She is TRYING to be helpful, and is doing very well with our new bundle of joy! (Hailey had just gotten out of the shower, I do usually dress my children in case you were wondering)
This is Hailey holding him for the first time. She likes to pat his head, and give him kisses already. We think she is a proud big sister!~
He has blue eyes, and dark brown hair, this is our best close-up of the little guy.... I love his outfit!!
Matt is excited to have his little boy. This picture is in the hospital the morning after he was born. Matt loves having a boy, it is VERY different than having a girl he said.
And this picture just makes me laugh!! Here are the three "David Alma Bird Family" grandchildren. Rylie, Hailey and Landon Bird. What a blessing!! We hope to get more picture up as they come! ~

Landon was born on Thursday, January 8th 2009. He was 6 lbs. 11oz. and 19 inches long. He was born at 6:39 p.m. at Lodi Memorial Hospital. I was having contractions early Monday morning, and we headed to the hospital (luckily Matt was still at home and not in Fresno at that time) they ended up sending us home because I was not progressing. Matt had to go to work, so I went to stay with my parents in Sacramento just in case I needed help. I continued to have contractions all Monday, but they stopped on Tuesday. They started up again on Thursday afternoon, and by 3:00 p.m. they were 5 minutes apart and not stopping. I called Matt, and he headed for the hospital. (he was in Fresno at his new job ~ he left RIGHT after my call :)) My mom was out shopping so I gave her a call to come home and take me so my little sister Sharon could stay at home with Hailey. We got to the hospital around 5:00 p.m.

I called the hospital on the way and asked for the Anasteseologist (not sure of spelling- you know what I mean) to be there for my epidural, I was VERY sure I wanted it, and wanted to make the hospital aware that I was on my way. When I got there, they checked me and I was 5 centimeters dilated, so they were going to allow it. By the time they got everything going it was too late and I was pushing before any pain medication kicked in. (at this point, I do not recommend going "natural" ask me again in two months or so) He was born 1 hour and 39 painful minutes after we arrived at the hospital, and everything after that is a blur.

We are ALL doing GREAT! ~ Landon had his first check up today, and looks GREAT! Hailey is a great big sister, and enjoying the extra attention she is getting from those visiting. My recovery is going wonderful! That is one good thing about going "all-natural". And Matt is just enjoying the time he has with us before he starts at work again! I hope to keep getting on here and updating pictures, but no promises. I hope you understand. We appreciate all your love and support! ~
