Hot Date 2010

Last week when Matt and I were in Stockton, we got to see our cousin Kyle Bird. We got to talking with him and while we were talking one of my girlfriends Megan Cluff called on the phone.  Matt asked me who was on the phone after I got off and I told him Megan... like TWO seconds later Matt looked at me and said "KYLE and MEGAN should date..."
It was like a HUGE light bulb started blinking above the both of us and I got ALL giddy and we both said "They would SO hit it off!! We should set them up!"
Long story short... we went on a double date with them last night and had a BLAST!!
First we went to eat at Panda Express...
Would you believe Kyle and Megan ordered the SAME thing... not even trying... some people would call that a coincidence... I call it FATE...
Then we headed to the Grizzlies Game. The grizzlies are Fresno's Minor League Baseball Team...
We got the Wednesday Night Special... Two game tickets, Two John's Incredible Pizza Kids Meals Coupons, Two Maxx Putt Indoor Glow Ball tickets, Two Storyland Kids Tickets ALL for $20.00... Talk about a GREAT date... Megan and Kyle laughing...
There were MANY opportunities for us to laugh. There was a grandfather with his two grandsons sitting in front of us... they moved for some reason... maybe because we were yelling at the players... or maybe because our conversations had NO filter... FATE! ~
Neither Kyle or Megan could be appropriate for the many pictures we took... FATE!
Needless to say they hit it off pretty well... (In defence of the above picture Kyle likes to get the "Captain Morgan pictures while he is with us, and for some reason Megan felt the need to bend over like that... haha SOOOO not planned out right.) FATE!~
The End... haha.
They are going on a HOT lunch date today... Too bad I am not there to take any photo's.
Needless to say we had a great time!
Now when are we going to use the Maxx Putt tickets??
(A special SHOUT OUT to the Bakers for watching our kids... THANK YOU! ~)

COUSINS ~

Grandma Andersen made dresses for the little girls... ALL we wanted to do was get a good picture with the girls wearing them... Katelyn was NOT happy about it ...
The dresses are just TOO cute... and the sad little girls make them cuter!
Because we were having a tough time the day before with the girls and the dresses we tried the next day...
We went in the backyard and TRIED to pose them, but we ended up just getting pictures of them running ALL over... here they are hugging the tree...
Hailey was giving grandma a hug for the dresses, but this picture looks like she is pushing Grandma away... Whats up with that Hailey??
And we got them matching shirts at The Children's Place... we put them on Sunday for Grandpa...
They say Grandpa's Rule . . .
And YES my daughter has a pen in her mouth... she was drawing on the board like a dog... don't ask me why... she takes after her father...

Sacramento Trip...

So as many of you know... I was on "vacation" this last week and a half...
after going with friends to Stockton for some boating fun I headed to Sacramento to watch my younger siblings and get a break from the house. Matt had to work, so it was tough but we made it through...
Here is Hailey at Grandma's enjoying some cheese... YES she is eating chunks from that HUNK of cheese...
Brian and Nicole Richardson came to visit with their kids Katelyn and Johnathon...
Hailey is giving Katelyn a hug here... (they are about 10 months apart)
My younger sister Nicole is holding Johnathon in the background.
The kids decided they wanted to jump on the trampoline...
Auntie Crystal was happy to play with them.
What a bunch of silly little kids...
I think we might have TROUBLE with these two...
Cousins are the BEST!

Babysitting ~

I might not be on the BLOG as much this week... I am in Sacramento watching my siblings while my parents go to Girls Camp...
Are you laughing??
I SURE AM...
These are my siblings still at home...

CRYSTAL who is 24 years old. She works part time at Wells Fargo, and is living with my parents because she is divorced from "the guy"... lets just say it was a good thing. I am sure my parents don't need me to really watch her, because she works they wanted supervision for my younger siblings...

SHARON is 20 years old. She does not currently work, and she is searching for a job. I am here to make sure she is job hunting AND being a good girl and not spending too much time with friends.

PRESTON is 16 years old. He has football practice, Young Men's, a Scout Camp and other little things he has to take care of.

All my siblings are OLD enough to "be home" alone, but my parents think they need supervision so they do not get into trouble.
I enjoy it. My siblings LOVE my kids, and help out alot with them as well. I don't mind being in Sacramento for a week... HELLO I live in Fresno... it "cools" down to like 70-75 most nights during the summer. In Sacramento I can open the doors a let the nice breeze run through the house...
ALSO my parents got a new Temperpedic Bed I get to sleep on while they are gone... This is going to be THE BEST SLEEP I have gotten in a while... the bed raises at the head and the feet, and it does a nice relaxing vibration that is to DIE for... the only thing missing is my hubby...

WE WILL MISS YOU MATT ~
So if I don't post as much, just know I am sleeping, relaxing and having FUN...

Embarrassed Much??

We went to the Riverpark Farmer's Market, and LOVED getting fruits and veggies to enjoy...
It was a nice carefree trip UNTIL we were walking back to the car...
Hailey has been REALLY good about letting me know she need to go to the bathroom. Unfortunately for this day, she decided to look both Matt and I in the face while walking and PEE...
This was not just a little stran of pee either... it was as if she opened up the flood gates and LET GO...
I am not sure if you can see in this picture, but this is the trail she left behind her...
What makes this EVEN better is that we were talking to a father of twins AS she did it...
he was trying not to laugh, but all we could think to do was laugh.
I had to turn around a take this picture... it makes for a good story when she gets older and starts dating.

Circus Time

Would you believe I have NEVER been to the circus...
I know I am a SHELTERED child, but it is true. My friend Megan invited me to go because she had an extra ticket, and I decided to make it a Mommy-Son date night...
Here Landon is before the circus looking at all the animals outside on display. He loved the ponies the elephants and the tigers SO much.
We got there early because they have a "meet-and-greet" if you go early with the Clowns. You can try on the clown clothes and everything!! We tried to get a picture with one of the clowns, but all Landon wanted to do was take his nose off...
We got to our AMAZING seats on the front row, and Landon could not resist trying to get a little closer to the tigers...
I am glad I was able to attend. It was a GREAT show, and I hope to take Hailey next year... to THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH...

Eastman Lake ~

We have been wanting to go out with our friends and enjoy the boat for a while now. The weather this summer has been CRAZY, and it was not until the weekend before last that we were able to all get off work and enjoy each others company!! The view of the Lake from our shore sight...
The hubby and my little one enjoying the cool water and a little rest from the boat...
Landon was throwing the football with Daddy and Spencer. He is SUCH a boy!
Hailey eating lunch...
(YES she has a two piece on, it makes going potty SO much easier...)
Our little group... The Cluff's and The Bakers ~ We missed friends that were not able to come, but we had a GREAT time!
It was ALOT of work to set up a "land area", not to mention bringing lunch out too... not something we will want to do soon again, but it was ALL worth it! Good Times GREAT people!!

iLoveToCreate Focus Group ~

I was invited to enjoy a Focus Group at Matt's work yesterday evening. I went with my friend Amalia, and we REALLY enjoyed it. We got to tell our HONEST thoughts about new product to be released, and we even got to play with the new things. I am not sure if I am able to talk about the products we tested, but I have to tell you I can not WAIT for them to be available to US ALL!!
This was my first Focus Group, and I was glad to be able to participate. They had snacks available too, AND we got a gift for attending and giving our feedback. Besides the THREE cookies I ate I also got THIS:
AND a $20.00 Target Gift Card...
LOVE IT! Can't wait for the next focus group!!

Lil' Kickers ~

Hailey is officially part of The Bunnies team at the Fresno Indoor Soccer School. We signed her up for an 8 week training course and we REALLY hope she loves it. I already love it because it is INDOORS, and because this age group needs a parent to help it BEATS being out in the heat!
Hailey LOVED free play time the best. You get to kick the ball around and just have fun!!
Here she is going in for a GOALLLLLL....
WOW Fast Action Shot...
Landon played a little with the kids too. We decided to let Hailey try this year, and maybe let Landon join next year. We think he might enjoy this more than Hailey does.
Here is Hailey at the end with her sucker, and her bunny stamp on her hands. At the beginning of the class the teacher told us not to worry if our kids did not follow direction or do well. "They are 2-3 year olds, do you really expect the to all be able to work together?" he said. Hailey did not cooperate with everything, but she liked the obstacle course and she did that. She also liked making a clown head out of soccer equipment... the teacher said give it a few weeks and they'll want to follow suit... here is to Hailey and her first soccer experience!
Oh, and I made these bows today... only one is actually a bow, but you know what I mean.
I LOVE big fat flowers in girls hair! :)
