I don't get sick too often, but when I get sick I am OUT FOR THE COUNT! After our Ward Halloween Party I was not feeling too hot. That night I slept maybe a few hours all together and threw up for the rest of them. We had fun at the party but did not take any pictures... Hailey refused to wear her costume, we'll save it for next year, Matt was Darth Vader and I was Princess Leia. Landon was batman and LOVED running around the church with all the other super hero's!! I thought about taking pictures, but I was so tired that night I just did not do it... now I know I was sick, not tired...
I am not sure if I ate something bad at the party, or if I was just destined to get the "Bird Flu*" (*no I did not REALLY get Bird Flu, but because my last name is bird and I think I had the flu, I like to think that was funny to say I had the Bird Flu... Oh, you are not laughing... so, not funny... SORRY... haha)
ANY WHO...
I was sick as can be Friday Night and Saturday ALL day. I used to wonder HOW people can lay in bed all day long, and let me tell you, I DEFINITELY can when I am sick. THANK GOODNESS it was on the weekend so Matt was home so my children got fed!!
So Sunday Morning comes along and I am better, but not 100% so we stayed home from church too. Matt was feeling a little sick and did not think he could handle the kids by himself... (I totally understand) So I watched our most recent General Conference Sunday Session's and felt like I got a little church in...
We had visitors come over... Brent and Amalia came dressed as Snow White and Prince Charming. Hailey kept addressing Amalia by Snow White... it was SO cute!!
We also had trick or treat visitors. Judge me if you want my Mormon friends, I still passed out Candy this Sunday. I did not want to be the weird family that moved into the new house and did not pass out candy on Halloween... Hailey and Landon enjoyed passing out the candy. At first Hailey was having a heart attack because I was giving away "HER" candy, but for some reason when she was able to give it herself to the other kids she LOVED it! Landon did it a few times too, after the trick or treaters would leave he would shut the door all by himself and run back to sit next to me on the couch. He would then look up at me and smile and give me a High Five... It was SO cute!
By night time I was feeling much better, but as Matt and I were watching The Amazing Race Hailey started throwing up... AHHHHHH!!! There is NOTHING worse then your kids being sick... am I right? I mean I hate being sick but seeing my little girl struggle to throw up and getting the shivers makes me wish it was me all over again!
This weekend has not really been a great one, but more like one I am glad was over. I never thought Halloween Weekend would be this horrible for our little family, but it was!!
I hope I am not sick like this for at least another year!!
On a happy note I am getting my hair done tomorrow!! YEAH!!

Trick Or Treat Bags
So I saw these ADORABLE Disney Princess and Toy Story Trick or Treat bags at Target about a week ago, but I thought I had bags so I passed on them. I came home to find in my Halloween Box that Hailey had a trick or treat Princess Bucket that has been destroyed sitting in storage and I had NOTHING for this kids to trick or treat with!!
Well I decided to head back to Target and guess what? They were SOLD OUT! So what is a mother to do?? We'll THIS mother bought 4 (yes 4, I would hate for future children I might have to not have a matching trick or treat bag for Halloweens in the future... I guess that means we are officially ONLY having 4 children haha) ANYWHO...
THIS mother got 4 Orange Bags like this . . .
And went to her Handy Dandy iLoveToCreate.com box o' stuff and got these . . .
Took said Green Puff Paint Marker and wrote the precious little names on them . . .
END RESULT... Semi-Home-Made Trick or Treat bags that won't get confused with another little trick or treaters bag...
PERFECTION!~ Oh how I love this time of year! ~ We are SO ready for the Halloween Party Tonight!

The Social Network
I hate to admit it has been a WHILE since Matt and I have had an official Date Night Out. With packing and moving and me being CHEAP we have not been able to enjoy each others company ALONE without the kids for some time now.
We had movie tickets to use up and we decided to hit up the town and see a movie. We dropped the kids off at the Hardens (thanks for babysitting...) and we went to In-N-Out for our HOT Dinner Date.
Yes, you heard me right In-N-Out... OH how I love them! Burgers and Fries FRESH... YUMO!
They did not portray anyone person as a "bad guy" or anyone person as the "good guy". It was quite impartial and interesting to watch. Of course it did not hurt that one of the actors was played by Justin Timberlake... that made it ALOT easier for me to watch . . .
It was a nice night out, and we hope for many more! I was glad I got to GO see the movie and GET OUT OF THE HOUSE! It was a nice change of pace to potty training and changing diapers for what seams like ALL DAY LONG I must say!

After enjoying that we went to Edwards Theatre to enjoy The Social Network. This movie is about the guy who invented Facebook.
Matt and I enjoyed the movie. We were not sure how true it was to real life, but the movie was VERY interesting. Don't worry I am not going to ruin it for you, but I would recommend it as either a $3.00 movie theater treat or a Redbox Rental...They did not portray anyone person as a "bad guy" or anyone person as the "good guy". Trees, Friends, and Stitches . . .
So we moved into our new house right??
We'll it had been vacant for a while so the trees and stuff in the backyard were needing a little help...
There is one tree in particular that needed to be GONE...
There is a tree right in the middle of the back yard that I just did not like so we invited our friend Mike Harden over to help us cut it down.
I decided to invite his whole family over so we could have F.H.E. together and I told them I would do dinner for payment for Mikes LABOR...
So Matt and Mike are outside cutting down the tree and taking the branches out to the street. We were cutting them today because the City of Clovis pick up for big junk was the following day, so this was something we had to do... luckily for us it just happened to be soon after we moved in.
ANYWHO... the kids were in the play room "playing" and Amy Harden and I were in the living room talking and relaxing. I was just starting to think how nice everything was going until Matt walked in the house holding his arm and telling me he needed stitches...
Apparently they were pulling one of the last loads of cut up branches out to the street, and the tarp all the branches were on got caught on something. Matt was walking by the garbage can and grazed his arm on the old Microwave Bracket he had taken down just a few days earlier.
Now I LOVE my husband so please don't take me as being insensitive, but I told him to sit down and I would clean it up and bandage it up for him.
After seeing the cut I was a little worried about how deep it was, yet I hesitate to take him to Urgent Care because I felt they would just bandage it up as well and then send us a $50.00 bill for a band aid... after alot of conversation about how deep the cut was and if he should go to Urgent Care or not, I headed out the door to take him while Amy who had come over to relax with me watched 5 kids while Mike continued to take care of the tree mess.
We went to Walgreen's Pharmacy because we needed butterfly band aids and had the pharmacist look at it to see if it needed stitches. She said it was borderline, so we decided to head to Urgent Care. But not before I grabbed a few Hot and Ready Pizza's for our FHE.
So I dropped Matt off at Urgent Care, got him some pizza then headed home to relieve my friends. We had a nice dinner and we were waiting for Matt to call us to come and get him. Almost three hours later I got the call. He had to get a tetanus shot and get the cut soaked in some kind of cleansing wash. Then 15 stitches later he was home. Poor Guy. I hate being an insensitive wife, but it seamed like such a little thing to me. His Dr. told him to let his wife know you can't just butterfly that up. I guess the whole Urgent Care office joked about it too.
I forgot to get before and after shots of the accident. And frankly it was a little too nasty even for me to see so this is what it looks like today...
A Perfect Little Cut JUST in time for Halloween... too bad his costume does not need it . . .

PUMPKINS GALORE
We had our good friends Spencer and Lauren Baker over for "PUMPKIN NIGHT"
We made Pumpkin Waffles with Apple Syrup (yes you are allowed to salivate, watch out for the keyboard that might leave a mark) after we were done with dinner we got out our Pumpkins for some CARVING FUN! Matt and I helped the kids and Spencer and Lauren helped themselves...
Landon and I made a Smiling Pumpkin Face. Landon helped by POKING the heck out of the pumpkin... as you can see he was still "helping" after we were done with the carving.Hailey and Matt made a pumpkin with Scary Ghost's on it. Hailey LOVED that Matt cut the ghosts out as a whole piece so she could put them back in after he was done carving . . .
And this is Landon outside... where are his pants you ask... Well I told Matt to put pants on him so we could take pictures and he said he did not need pants. To which I said "Poor little Landon is going to look back at his baby pictures and be upset that I did not put pants on him!" And Matt said he will think it was AWESOME that we let him walk around without pants... Anyways... This is Landon LOVING the Pumpkins being lit outside.
And this is VERY RARE... WHAT Hailey say still for a picture... YES. She loved the pumpkins too! In fact we go out every morning to say hello to them...
Mine and Landon's Pumpkin and Lauren's "Princess Castle" as Hailey described it.
Matt and Hailey's Ghost's and Spencer's Spider Web Pumpkins...
We had alot of fun! We also got to watch the Fresno State Game AND the Giants get into the World Series... It was a GREAT night!

Camping 2010
So we went Camping...
Shocking I know. If you are my true friend you know I hate camping.
I love the time spent with friends and being out in nature don't get me wrong...
It is the Dirt, the Cold, the hard ground to sleep on, and all the work when I could have slept at home in my own bed a WHOLE lot easier that I don't like.
This however is something my husband LOVES to do, and like a good wife should I allow it to happen once every blue moon... Or once a year when our old ward gets together for a camp out.
Hailey was LAYING in the dirt and at one point it looked like she was LICKING it... REALLY??And Landon could not be bothered with a picture. He played all by himself with just dirt and his hands. This to most kids would not be anything new, but I RARELY let my children play in dirt... it is DIRTY!!
We had a great time, and we were able to catch up with people from the old ward and just sit back and take in "All that was around us"
My favorite part of camping is sitting around the campfire and telling stories or laughing with friends about funny things... my girlfriends and I put the kids and most of the hubbies to bed and just had a ball staying up late. We tried to be quiet, but quiet to us is loud in other peoples vocabulary so we'll have to see if we get invited next year! :) It was a fun trip! Glad we did it for sure!

Pumpkin Patch
We went to One Palms Pumpkin Patch
for Family Home Evening.
We let the kids pick out their own pumpkins and they really enjoyed it. The Hay Ride was fun because the owner of the farm told us all about pumpkins. The Haunted House was very kid friendly, and Landon ran through it and LOVED it!
It was the perfect night to go and get our pumpkins, now we just have to convince Hailey that we are going to wait until next week to carve them . . .

No Nap
We are on the verge of " No Nap for Landon" and I am NOT a fan...
Some days he will HAPPILY NAP on his bed after lunch, and other days he fights it until about 3:00pm then falls asleep while we are playing in the playroom...
Today he WAS going to nap, then Hailey and I had music on and he decided to come join us in our dancing...
Oh Well...
Matt has a dentist apt after work then he has to go and get the stuff to put up the new over the range microwave... It's gonna be a LONG day until he gets home...
On the bright side (which I try to see all the time)
The kids are running around the house giggling... I LOVE to hear kids giggle!
Luckily for them we have TWO places they can run circles in the house, the kitchen and the living room :)

COMPUTER DESK!!
This may seam silly to some of you, but to me this is a BIG DEAL!
I got my FIRST EVER REAL Computer Desk this last weekend, and I am SOOOO happy about it.
Matt and I have been saving since the day we got married for "adult furniture" We previously bought things that would "get us by" But now that we are in the house we want to be in forever, we spend the hard earned money and got ourselves a REAL Computer Desk!!
The above picture is Matt putting the Computer Desk together. We decided to save some money and pick up the boxes and assemble it ourselves... it was pretty easy to assemble, but now what do I do with six HUGE boxes... anyone need a play house for your kids??Notice that the sad little table to the left of the BIG Computer Desk WAS my previous Computer Desk...
And family has been asking for other pictures, so here is the front room. Freshly painted, new wood floors we installed (with help... THANKS DAD'S and THE RAMOS BROTHERS) new drapes that my mom helped me make, (lets be honest, I bought the fabric and she did all the work) new area rug, I can't wait to get my entertainment center so I can start putting up pictures... THAT was back ordered. We will get it around Christmas Time. It is just as tall as the computer desk but a couple feet wider... Matt thinks that means we need to get a bigger TV now . . .
AHHHH... Home Sweet Home... Or at least it is starting to feel that way...

He came READY to work, but he also showed up with something special for the kids...
Hailey got a Butterfly Cookie, I tried to get her to look at the camera, but all she wanted to do was look at her cookie...
And Landon got a Bumblebee cookie, he as well would not look at the camera...THANKS GRANDPA!! The kids LOVE little treats like this... can't you tell??

My Life
I would LOVE to be posting new pictures of the house, but alas we STILL have dial-up.... DUN DUN DUNNNNNN (SCEAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMM) ha ha...
SO instead I am just going to update everyone on what I like to call "My Life" . . .
We are OFFICIALLY in the new house. We moved in the previous Friday Night. We had about 20 people from the new and old ward show up for the move and it took under two hours to get all my junk moved over...
ALL last week I was unpacking boxes, getting things WHERE they go, and cleaning out the garage so we would have work space to do the finishing touches on the house. I hope to do before and after shots of the rooms, but until then you just have to believe me that it was done!~
THEN Friday October 1st came... MOST of you know that is my birthday. Can I just give you a little break down of my recent birthdays... On my 23rd Birthday we bought our Condo. We signed the papers the week before, and we were remodeling it ON my birthday... Matt has a funny "trowel" story from that birthday but I would rather NOT tell you about it... JUST before my 25th Birthday I found out we were pregnant with Hailey... Just after my 27th Birthday Matt lost his job for the first time and I was 7 months pregnant and SO stressed... and on this my 29th birthday (AHEM 25 Years old for all those who asked) we tiled the Kitchen floor in the new house...
VERY big LIFE CHANGING things have happened ON or VERY NEAR my Birthdays. I like to think Heavenly Father is blessing me, but some of those blessings were VERY hard to take...
This year we celebrated the day before my birthday by going out to eat with the kids. We ALWAYS go to Red Robin for my birthday because you get a free burger!! It was neat sitting at the table with my husband and kids. When I get the opportunity to really sit back and take in my life, I feel wonderful because we REALLY are blessed!! It was a great way to celebrate early! :)
But what I like BEST about my birthday is that is ALWAYS falls near General Conference. As a child I HATED it! I mean what kid wants to be watching "old men" talk on their birthday?? It was a burden for me as a child, but now that I am an adult I am LOVING it!
To those of you who do not know what General Conference is... the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (which is the church I belong to) has leaders that speak to us twice a year. We have a Prophet who leads the church, and we also have Apostles to help him lead the church. They are the usual speakers at the General Conference. We also have other church leaders that speak at these meetings... they are the leaders from different branches of our church, Primary, Young Women's, Young Men's, Relief Society for Women... and various other Elders from the Quorum of the 70 which helps the Apostles lead the church. ANYWAYS... they speak to us about different topics. Their words are inspired, and they help us with daily life struggles. The topics they choose to speak on ALWAYS pertain to a current trial we are facing as a people or as a nation. It is BEAUTIFUL to hear the words spoken, and uplifting to take them into our daily lives. Since I have been SO busy with the new house, it was a EXTRA blessing to sit down and enjoy General Conference this year. What a WONDERFUL Birthday weekend!!
So between the new house, the kids, my birthday, the Fresno State game, and conference we had a FUN FILLED weekend!! (Fresno State beat Cal Poly just in case you were wondering... pictures of that to come later...)
THIS week we plan on:
~Grouting the Tile in the kitchen
~FINALLY switching out the electric outlets and switches
~ Getting the area rug! YEAH!!
~ Putting up some baseboards
and sitting back and admiring ALL the little things we have done to make our house a HOME! :)
This upcoming weekend I have a GIRLS RETREAT with my dear friends Amber, Megan and Amy... we are leaving the kids with the boys and getting away to celebrate our birthdays together! :) (all our birthdays are within a month of each other... don't you LOVE it!)
Hopefully pictures to come soon... pray AT&T gets their act together and I get REAL Internet access... :)
UPDATE ~ I had someone remind me that I FORGOT to mention our house got broken into on my birthday... YEAH you heard me... some very mean people broke into my house and ... LEFT me a CAKE and a Balloon. My girlfriends (with whom I am going to celebrate our GIRLS RETREAT with) came over to my house expecting my husband and I to be tiling the kitchen floor. Unfortunately we had left to get dinner for the kids, but FORTUNATELY we returned JUST in time to catch them in the act. They drove around a little looking for us at Lowe's and did not find us, so they went back to the house, and went in through the windows I left open because it was nice outside... LOL! ~ THANKS GIRLS! The cake was AMAZING! In fact I had a piece just last night! :)
