Breakfast of Champions...

CRAPES with Strawberry Topping . . .
I know your mouth is watering right about now...
Hailey LOVED it! She ate every last bite!!
And you would think by this picture that Landon did not like it. HOWEVER... he is just upset that Daddy took his paci away to get a better picture...
Yep, see... he is fine...
So any tips on getting rid of the paci?
I wanted it gone before he was two. All the other paci's got cut up, but I am scared to cut the last one JUST in case we need it for bed. He takes SUCH good naps because of the Paci... maybe it is MOMMY that is not wanting to let it go...

Re: pacifier. Here's what we do. On/near their second birthday, we make a big deal about being a "big boy," get out the video recorder and record him throwing the pacifier(s) away in the garbage can all by himself. Then we have him take that garbage sack out to the big can all by himself.

If he gets sad about it, show him the video.

This worked great for L. and pretty good with C. However, we still have a problem with C. taking G's pacifier. This problem has been temporarily solved since G's pacifier has been MIA for a week or so...

Good luck!

By the way, you probably don't even know my kids... L is 4, C is almost 3 and G is 1 yr. :)

Put something gross on it that he won't want to eat - like pickle juice or something. Good luck!

I can't remember how I took away Camie's... and Luke stopped taking his cold turkey when he was 6 months old, drove me CRAZY because I wanted him to and he wouldn't.

We got Katelyn off hers by getting her a dog; I know your kids would love that but I know you wouldn't. Maybe try having him leave it under his pillow and a 'binky fairy' comes to trade it with some other prize he might like. Or since Easter is coming up leave it for the easter bunny to take to some other little kid that really needs a binky (I've heard it used for Santa claus but this should work as well). There are many options but I have no idea what we are going to use for Johnathon but I still have a few months before I'll start to take it away. Good luck!
