LET ME GO!!!

Sit Back, Relax, and get ready for a GOOD Laugh with this one...

SO... Hailey is NOT a fan of church ever since she started going to Primary. Almost every time we just step foot into a church building she starts to fight us. She is not stupid... she knows what is coming...
So this last week we were visiting my parents. When we visit my parents ward we try REAL hard to be on time. ONE, because that makes my father happy who is ALWAYS on time, and TWO my family sits in the very front pew for Sacrament Meeting.
This week were were running a little late. TWO to FIVE minutes maybe... which meant we had to walk in while our dear friend Brother Alconcel was conducting and opening the meeting. I was going to go and sit in the back (like we do at our home ward) but my family's pew in the front row was open so I decided to go there... BAD IDEA...
I grab Hailey's hand and start walking. I have my diaper bag in the other hand, and Matt is carrying Landon and our church bag. About half way to our pew Hailey decides she does not want to go and so she stops walking, which leads to me dragging her because I am already walking in front of all these people... UGH... THEN Hailey decided she needed to show her TRUE self and starts yelling "Let me go, LET ME GO..." After about her yelling his for the fifth time I make it to our seats. My dad is speaking, so he was seated directly in front of me... Brother Alconcel stopped talking and was 'taking it all in' and after we sat I think he giggled and said "OK..." I just looked at my Dad, dropped Hailey's hand and SMILED at him... WHAT an entrance RIGHT?
So then after we take the sacrament, Landon decides he is done and just starts walking for the door. Luckily Sharon ran after him. He came back in after a little while, but then talked grandma into taking him out because he was being loud.
It came time for my father to get up and speak and he said "Those are my grandchildren that are making all the noise." as his opening to his talk... not sure if he was proud of that or not... LOL!
Then while I was enjoying his talk, out of the corner of my eye I see Hailey LEAP off the pew onto the floor... REALLY??
Next time we come to visit my parents we are SITTING IN THE BACK!!
Luckily after Sacrament Meeting ended I had a few people come up to me and thank me for the good laugh they got. I was TOTALLY embarrassed, but after hearing that I made a few peoples day with how cute my kids were while they acted out I felt a little better...
So to all those moms who are completely mortified about the things your kids do, just remember... there are PLENTY of people who have "been there done that" watching you and laughing hopefully WITH you...

Okay, next time you are in town you have to tell me beforehand so I can plan on coming to our parent's ward! This sounds PRICELESS!

XOXO

Rest assured that I was laughing WITH you. I love my grandkids; so it doesn't bother me if they act up sometimes. :-)
Love, Dad

Oh my goodness.... I could only imagine what Tanner would be like in the front row. He has embarrassed me plenty of times. Ellie is my good child and only time will tell what kind of child Nate will be! I keep praying he will be mellow...
