PLEASE tell me you have seen this show... Jon and Kate Plus 8.... It is the BEST show ever! It is on TLC on Monday nights at 9/8c. They also have re-runs all the time whenever, so try to keep up with it.
Anyways, I was watching the show last night and it was a FAQ where Jon and Kate answer viewers questions. I find it hilarious the things people comment on about their lives!
They are HEROES in my eyes! Matt tells me he gets tired just watching the show. They have twin daughters and then sextuplets!! Three girls and three boys. All the kids are VERY well behaved for the situation, and the parents are a CRACK up!
This show helps me to remember when I have a bad day with Hailey that at least I only have ONE Hailey, and not 6 or 8.... Kate you are my personal Hero and Jon you rock!!
Check it out if you have not yet! The best half hour of your day for sure! If there is a marathon... you are in for a HECK of a time! ~

Yeah... she is a climber!!
So she got up there herself! And HEAVEN forbid she learns to get down, so I left her there to get a few good pictures!! Hope you enjoy this as much as I did!
And if you are wondering WHY a bookcase... the shelf above has a basket with candy in it, so yeah... that is WHY the bookcase!!
Oh NO!! I have a climber on my hands!! And please no comments about my "white trash" child not wearing any clothes... this was right after lunch!

What a GOOD Uncle!!
So, Hailey LOVES to be around her Uncle Preston, and she is willing to do WHATEVER he is doing to get his attention! I went looking for her because the house was a little too quite and this is what I found!
Preston got her out a remote (that was not plugged in) to play with him, and she LOVED every second of it! I am not sure what game they were playing, but a few hours of not looking for her and worried she was into something was ok with me!! What is great is that she actually thought she was playing, and she stayed in there the WHOLE night almost! YEAH Uncle Preston! You can babysit ANYTIME!!!

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL???
So, as you know... my little brother is my new favorite football player of the year! And so how better to show our respect than to have my little girl wear a cheer outfit to the game. And NO we did not purchase this outfit... my mom made it.... yes you heard me!! My mother made this adorable cheer outfit!! Hailey LOVED being the center of attention at the game, and she even cheered Preston on when we would cheer!
Lucky you, here is a PREGO picture of me. I have been trying to not post pictures of me on here just because, but what the heck! Here is the Bird Family ready to cheer on the Mighty Nighthawks!!

She did want to be out on the field with the other Cheerleaders, but once Daddy put her on the cheer box she was a little worried that we were going to leave her there.... gotta love it! ~ What a DRAMA Queen!
We are a little sad to say the team did not win... but after talking to Preston and learning that half the kids don't come to practice... what would YOU expect! It is still a FAVORTIE thing for me to do! I love having a little brother to cheer on at the games!!
And just so you know, my mom is currently working on the Fresno State Cheer outfit that Matt wanted for Hailey! YEAH! GO FRESNO and GO NATOMAS!!Tuesday, September 23, 2008
Clam Chowder Anyone??
So usually when I have a craving for Clam Chowder Soup, I either have to jump in the car and head for San Francisco or head to my parents house and beg for my mom to make me some homemade Soup!!
Well this weekend I got the BEST of both worlds!!! On Friday Night we went out for dinner in Stockton. And would you believe it... they have a new Boudin Store!! Matt, myself and Hailey meet Chris Erin and Rylie where we ran into Grandma and Grandpa Bird eating there with friends from church the Crums. I know did that make sense at all?? What can I say, when you send out coupons for buy one get one free EVERYONE shows up!!
Then this Monday Night my sister Sharon and I made Homemade Clam Chowder. I have to admit that I like the homemade stuff better. The taste is SO wonderful and it has ALOT of love in it! Yes, I will admit it is ALOT easier going to get the already made dinner, but that homemade goodness is PRICELESS!!!

Out on the Delta Again ~
YEAH! The boat is REALLY fixed this time and we were able to head out this Saturday to enjoy the day!! I invited my best friend Sara to come out, and with her came the adorable and VERY well behaved Ryder. (her two year old son) He LOVED being on the boat and was very happy to see his mommy wakeboarding! Matt invited his old friend Ryan Nelson and with him came Mike a friend from church that has been wakeboarding before. It looked like it was going to be a crummy day, but we got lucky and got some GREAT sun and very little wind!
Matt and I put some finishing touches on the boat while we waited for our friends to come. We were VERY lucky that Grandma Bird offered to keep Hailey for us while we were gone. We got out on the water and everyone enjoyed some time out on the water. ( with the exception of myself and Ryder) I think I was too tired from the day before to try.
We ate at Bob's for lunch. For those of you who do not know... Bob's is on the water off the Delta. We enjoy going there quite often!! After a fantastic lunch we were going to do some tubing... OH YEAH! but for some reason our gas meter was not reading much gas left, so we headed in! We were not sure how much gas was in there because we had been out before and it had been fixed and such.... so we wanted to be SAFE rather than sorry!!
I have a WONDERFUL sun burn to show for the day... which i might add will turn into a GREAT tan for my poor white little self!! Sorry no pictures... we left the camera at home! But I think it was a GREAT TIME HAD BY ALL! ~

I LOVE Yard Sales!!!
So I totally scored at the Brookside Community Yard Sale today!! YES!! Matt and I went looking for "kid-baby" stuff, and would you believe we got away with SO much!! We scored this Wooden Toddler Bed, tons baby boy clothes, and a boppy with a boy cover. All for under $50.00! I have been looking for a Toddler Bed for Hailey, and could not find one that I really wanted for a good price! I almost bought one off Craigslist for $50.00, glad I held out!! I got this baby for $30.00!

Pretty Pretty Princess
I LOVE getting Hailey ready for bed!! We get her either showered or bathed, put lotion on her and put her in little PJ's.... I really enjoy trying to get her to wind down from a long day! She usually is tired about dinner time, and that is when Matt gets home. But for some reason the second he is in the door she is ready to play all over again!!
ALMOST every night Matt makes himself a smoothie, and when Princess is still awake he gives her a little cup with smoothie in it. Tonight he made an Orange Julious (however the freak you spell that...) and I had gotten Hailey all ready for bed! I was grabbing the camera to get a picture of her in this ADORABLE nightgown, and noticed that Matt had already given her some smoothie before I could get the picture!
This picture is a THANK YOU to Anna for giving us some adorable "hand-me-downs". I LOVED this nighty when I saw it because it reminded me of nighty's I wore as a little girl! Well needless to say there is not cute little picture of Pretty Pretty Princess in her ADORABLE nightgown... she would not drop the smoothie to please me, so here she is! All ready for bed, except now how will she sleep with all that SUGAR!!! THANKS DADDY! ~

I LOVE Imagination Movers ~
Ok, so this morning Hailey was watching the Disney Channel, and the Imagination Movers came on. I believe this is a new program, and this was the first time she had seen it, so she was really paying attention to it.
They sing alot of songs and dance around.... I was thinking these guyes were the loser retards from High School that no one wanted to date until the song "Clean your Room" came on! Hailey likes to dance to songs, and so she as twiliring around (so cute, I should get it on video) and dancing all over the room. Then she stopped to watch what was going on TV, and she saw them singing about cleaning up and they were putting toys away in a toy box.
Imagine my suprise when she walked over to her Little People box she had dumped on the floor half an hour earlier and started picking up the pieces and putting them away!!! I started to laugh, then I started to cry!! I have been trying to work with her picking up her mess, and she does alright, but she has never cleaned up without me prodding her to do so!!
So the next person I hear tell me that my child is not 2 years old, and should not be watching TV can KISS MY BUTT!! These guyes really ROCK my world!! ~

Weekend Away ~
We were LUCKY to be able to get a weekend away!! We drove the two hours from Stockton to Fresno for a FUN FILLED weekend away!! Fresno State was playing Wisconsin in Football, and it was a MUST see for Matt! He enjoyed the time with friends; we stayed at the Cutts house and Matt went to the game with his best guy friend Brent Cutts.
The Cutts have THREE little doggies, and Hailey is a BIG fan of dogs! We forgot to get a picture of her in her Fresno State gear, but we managed to get her with the dogs! It is TOO bad that she does not have a dog... mommy will not allow it! I know I am mean, but whatever... life goes on! ~
I was able to visit with my girlfriend Julia from Wells Fargo days, and also see the Football game with Brent's wife Amalia. It is too bad Fresno State could not pull out the win!!
We were able to see some of Matt's other friends from Pelco, and even stop by our condo for a QUICK look see!! It was neat seeing another family enjoy our place! As we were driving in, Matt and I both admitted to eachother that we were getting home sick which is wierd because we both grew up in Sacramento-Stockton area, but we feel like Fresno is home! Maybe if we sell the house it will not be SO much like Home.
It was a good trip and we were able to see lots of friends also at Church on Sunday. We sure do miss being able to see them all the time! Hope you had a great weekend as well! ~

We LOVE Preston
Some of you know my family well, and some do not. This is my little brother Preston. He is the youngest of 6 kids and the ONLY boy in the bunch!! He is BY FAR my favorite brother! HAHA He is in his Freshman Year of High School, and attends Natomas High! This is the High School all my siblings have attended and graduated from!
Last night some of my family were able to attend Preston's very first Freshman Football game. They played Rio Americana and they KILLED them like 35-7!!! It was GREAT! He plays center, and kicker, and occationally just on the line as a blocker... ( i should know the name of that position huh?)
He did a great job, and I was SO proud to be his BIG sister at his game. Matt and I made a special trip to come see his first game, and we hope to be able to see all the future home games that we can!! My sisters and I made posters to hold up at the game. We were a little worried that he would be embarassed, but he LOVED it! We were the only ones at the game to make posters, and I think the loudest cheerers... is that a word??
I enjoy seeing my siblings grow and experience new things, and I love seeing Preston grow up into the man he will soon be! He is so loving with Hailey and SO understanding of his sisters that he is going to make SOME girl very lucky!! After his mission of course... I better start buying stamps now, his mission will be here before I can blink!!!

Ode to REDBOX ~
Now some of you may be wondering WHAT THE HECK is she talking about?? A RED-BOX.... WHAT??? Well, have you ever been grocery shopping and REALLY wanted to rent a movie.... random I know, but go with it....
They are the Uhhh Big Red Boxes at the exit usually where you can rent a movie for ONE night and return it! GENIUS! It is only $1.08! That my friends is Taxes and everything!!
Matt and I take FULL advantage of renting from here because you can return it to any other Redbox! And my friends they are popping up EVERYWHERE!! They even have the new releases like Blockbuster! But unlike blockbuster you are not paying like $4.16 per movie. Sure... I know your rebuttal.... Blockbuster lets you keep the movie for like a week and 2 days. Yeah, and HOW many of you wait to watch the movie you just rented??? And how many of you THEN forget the return date and end up paying to rent it again??? YEAH... if you can get your butt out of bed the next day after seeing the amazing flick then take it with you and hit up a store that has the Redbox machine and take it back!
Now I have to admit, we have kept it an extra day a time or two, but they only charge another $1.08!! So I am STILL ok because I have like 2 more days to keep it before I pay up the rear like Blockbuster wants me to!
If you are lucky enough to have one near by, CHECK IT OUT! We found a promo code that you can use for a Free Rental... just press the button for renting with a promo... type in "breakroom" and get your free rental! But hurry because the promo code will be gone soon! ~ HAVE FUN AND HAPPY RENTING~~

Storytime ~
Downtown Stockton does have GREAT events that I was NOT privy too before meeting Chrishna. She is a parent of 2 that goes to Grandma and Grandpa Bird's ward. She lives like 10 houses down from where we are staying, and she is my motivation to get out and have fun!
I am a "home body" if you will. I like to just relax at home and keep to myself. Especially now that baby Landon is on the way (did I ever post that baby two is a BOY???) I am even more content to lay around the house while Hailey and I play and have fun!
I have wanted to "expand my horizons" and find more recreational activities I can do with Hailey. We like to go to the park, go shopping at the Mall or Target, go on walks around the neighborhood, jump on the trampoline, LOTS of stuff. But I have not really gone outside my little shell to really experience something different.
Chrishna called us yesterday and asked if I would like to go to Storytime at the Downtown Library. After hearing that it ended before Hailey's usual nap time I thought WHY NOT? I need to get out, and she offered to pick us up, so I can't get lost or anything!!
It was fun! Hailey got to see a new environment, and participate in dancing singing, storytime, coloring and playing! I am VERY glad that we took the time to head to the Library! I need to find things like this where we move to and make sure to go often! Glad I got off my home butt and went out for Hailey's sake! ~

LATE NIGHT! ~
I often forget I am pregnant, and eat to my heart's desire.... Or what I THOUGHT was my hearts desire!!! I have to admit I forgot all the BAD things that go with pregnancy. I look back over my last pregnancy and birth and I really think great thoughts! After all I am healthy and I have a beautiful baby girl to play with! Yeah, we did have our problems, but overall I really feel like I can not complain about it!
But NOW that I am prego again.... the BAD memories RUSH back into me! First my POOR heart! The heartburn I get is HORRIBLE! Last night at about 10, I looked for my Tums, and instead of chewing the tablet like the bottle told me to do, I treat it like a Prenatal Pill, and I try to swallow it. Now do I not only have heartburn... I have a Tums tablet stuck in my throat and I can not get is down to save my life. Luckily Uncle Chris made chocolate cookies so I was able to get those down my throat and force the tablet down.
I am also now at the NO sleep stage. I can sleep, but it is REAL hard to get there. It is uncomfortable to sleep on my tummy, which is what i usually do. So I opt to sleep on my side... but HAVE to have a pillow between my legs. Hubby gets upset because I move so much to get comfy.
Now add in all the worries and such that we pregnant women have before having a baby, and then add to that the fact that I do not have a place to call MY home. I am living with family, TRYING to remain normal when there are times I just want to sit in my room and cry. I want to start my nesting faze (yeah I nest the WHOLE pregnancy) and I have no place to nest. Half the baby stuff we will need is in storage, and I CRINGE about getting that out in time.
There are times I can be SUCH a worry Wiggle, and today is that time! ~
THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME VENT! I feel better now.....

The SHAMROCKERS ~
Ok, So imagine my excitement when I hear from Grandma and Grandpa Bird that our little niece Rylie Bird is playing soccer. One of my FAVORITE past-times, and a definite MUST for every child. Soccer is GREAT! You learn to be part of a team, and you learn ways to stay physically fit! I feel it is a WIN WIN WIN (in the words of Michael Scott) situation when all goes well with soccer.
So, it is a HOT day in Stockton, and we are patiently (not all are patient) waiting for the game before Rylie's to end.... an HOUR later... (come on... is there any organization here...) the girls get to the field. Rylie's team name is the Shamrockers!! HOW CUTE IS THAT?? They are in ALL green and look adorable! The team they are playing it the GlowBugs, they have electric green shirts.... very cute. While both teams are running the pre-game drills we realize that these GlowBugs are LEGIT and a few of the girls are hardcore scorers. Chris and I laugh as we compare the two teams shooting practice to the goal. Rylie is off going to the bathroom and the other girls look to be picking flowers and have NO idea what they are in for!
The game starts and there is a goal scored by the Shamrockers! YOU GO GIRLS! The only problem is that one of the girls on the GlowBugs is now crying because she took the ball the wrong way and that is how our team scored... this little girl runs off to her mommy, and is crying because she feels it is all her fault. Poor thing.... now the tubby girl (she was QUITE tubby if you know what I mean, and I hope she is there for the PHYSICAL FITNESS part to soccer....) on the other team has fallen 3 times and is having a hard time playing.... off she runs to mommy and daddy.... poor tubby girl!
Now the first 10 min. half ends and there is a break. We have ANXIOUSLY waiting for Rylie to join the game.... I love Erin's comment at the start of the game ...." What my kid's not first string.... what is this....." we laugh at her sarcastic remark. The game starts again after a 5 min. break. (could this be WHY we are an HOUR late starting our game) To our GREAT pleasure Rylie is IN the game! She runs around a little and is not able to get the ball at all..... off she runs to mommy crying that she was not able to touch the ball. Another lesson to be learned.... sharing is NOT part of soccer for 3-4 year olds! Maybe if she sticks this whole soccer thing out until High School they will learn by then that it is a team sport, but for now it is just bunch ball and no passing to other players on your team. Rylie finally gets back into the game after MUCH coaching from all the family who is there to see her play, and she kicks the ball a few times... but this time is crying for mom again because she did not kick it in the net.... poor baby!
After all this, it is quite comical to see these poor little girls hopes and dreams of what they had planned their first soccer game to be like crying in parents laps. I look around and there are 4 parents trying their best to console these poor little souls. I think this is a GOOD lesson learned today. Soccer is NOT easy, not everyone gets to play, or kick the ball, and very few people get to kick the ball in the net. (run-on sentence I know)
I hope the future games are not like this game, and I look forward to cheering on the Shamrockers!! Hopefully the first game has opened eyes and there will not be as many tears as the season presses on. Needless to say it was a good time had by all!

And there was CALM ~
Have you ever heard the expression "The water was like Glass......" Yeah, neither had I until I married into the Bird Family who are AVID boaters! And this expression is not one that we would be able to say very often......
This is glassy water. I have to admit I have seen more calm water than this, but in Sept. on the Delta, this is pretty nice.... needless to say we ALL took advantage of the water yesterday!! There were not any boats around us until we started going down the channel, we passed 2 other Wakeboarding boats the whole time out, and that never happens. There is usually like 10!!! This is why you go out on the week day nights! ~
Matt was the first to ride, and I know the picture is not a good one of him... but I was trying to show how nice the water around us was. Matt was so stoked to be out in these conditions ~
Oh yeah, this is me! No one ever said Pregnant Women have to sit out on wakeboarding! Hey, if the weather and water is good; I'm down for a ride! So this is me and Landon out on the water. 5 months pregnant and still having a blast! Can you tell I am prego???
Sometimes we just like to anchor and swim around the boat. Hailey is not usually fond of being in open water, but after we got her used to the water temp she went to Grandpa and was out having fun with everyone else! This is Grandma Bird, Matt, Grandpa Bird and Little Hailey. Mommy was in the boat taking these pictures. (You can only pull yourself back up onto a boat so many times when you are pregnant.... its a WORKOUT I tell you!)
And this is a classic! Hailey LOVES to drive the boat, and Grandpa is so gracious to let her. We are so lucky to be staying in Stockton with family when we can jump out on the Delta any day we please! We look forward to getting our boat fixed so we can get in some good quality time this summer on it! We are "working out the kinks" as Matt puts it. It was such a perfect day for getting out on the water! Glad we did! ~

My Little Cupcake!
Hailey is SUCH a helper lately! She does not let mommy make dinner or ANYTHING for that matter on her own! She has to stir, or the world may come to an end!! About a month ago I let her help make the morning pancakes.... BAD IDEA! The whole concept of her keeping the spoon in the bowl was foreign to her! She did not understand that when she whipped it around in the air and pancake batter went EVERYWHERE why mommy got mad..... it was funny to her! HA HA I can laugh now because it was a while ago. But today I decided to try my luck again and have her help with dinner. We made Chicken Broccoli Casserole, and cupcakes for dessert. It was a success!! She LOVED being the BIG helper, and I loved her smile as she stirred the cupcake batter! Life does not get any better than this!
Lucky girl got to lick the whisk after we were done. Actually she let me know that she was going to lick it because whenever her auntie Sharon would make something sweet she always let Hailey lick the "spoon"! It was a good day! ~

6 Quirks About Me ~
OK, so i am JUST getting the hang of this "blogging" thing, and I am excited for my first "TAG" mission! I am getting better at checking out other blogs and not just updating my own. I get on here during nap time for Hailey so I only have an hour for e-mail and everything. Anyways... Here are my responses to: THE 6 QUIRKS ABOUT ME ~
1 ~ I can not leave the house if it is a mess. Even for like grocery shopping! It drives Matt NUTS, but who wants to come home to a dirty house? I even have to have the clothes folded if there are some in the dryer..... random. I think I have a little case of OCD.....
2 ~ I HAVE to have a Bow or Clip or something in Hailey's hair if we are going somewhere or if someone is coming over for a visit. I bought a BUNCH of bows, and have only lost a few! YEAH for me! I just like my little girl to LOOK like a little girl! ~
3 ~ I do not like to go to bed early. In fact it KILLS me if I have to be in bed before like 9. I am a night owl, and my poor husband is not. He has to commute for a hour to work, so he is in bed early. I like to stay up late and watch TLC.
4 ~ I have to have something sweet for breakfast. If I make like eggs or something, I have to have toast with jam or something like that. I usually make pancakes or french toast for breakfast lately. I think it might have more to do with being pregnant, but i noticed that I have a sweet tooth in the morning.
5 ~ I do not do socks..... I wear sandals for about 90% of the year and high heals for about 7%, so the remaining 3% of the year I wear shoes. I hate how socks feel, and I think they suffocate my feet. I used to run, but being prego I just go for power walks with my nice reef sandals. I even ride my bike in sandals! I also do not like to touch Matt's socks after they are washed... something about socks FREAKS me out! But I don't have a problem with touching Hailey's socks......
6 ~ I balance my checkbook at the counter as I purchase items. I balance it in the car as well.... I have NEVER had a problem with knowing what I have avaliable in my account, or any overdraft problems! I guess this comes from my Wells Fargo Years and being able to see my account ANY SECOND OF THE DAY at work. Now that I am not out as much, I check my account about every 3-4 days online just to make sure things add up. Then when my statement comes I don't have to check it because I have taken that time already!
Ok, kinda random Quirks.... right???
Now I am going to tag a few people I think might check my blog......

FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS ~
The Fresno State Bulldogs football team traveled to play Rutgers in New Jersey yesterday. The game was GREAT! Both teams got off to a slow start with no score at the half, but the Bulldogs came out in the Second Half READY for the season opener!
The Bulldogs won 24-7. Matt was sad he was not able to be there for the game, but was glad to see the great end! Matt served his mission in New Jersey so it would have been a GREAT opprotunity to "kill TWO birds with one stone" but it was not in the plans! Here is Matt and his Little Bulldog before the game! Thanks Grandma Andersen for the matching game Hats! ~ GO BULLDOGS!!!
