Hailey . . .

She makes me SO angry sometimes . . .
But when I sit back and think about WHY she makes me angry it is because she is not doing what I WANT her to do. I have been trying to get pictures of my kids for my sister to "make something special" for my parents and she was just not cooperating... and at times REFUSING to smile . . .
I would say "Hailey SMILE BIG for Mommy!"
And THIS is what I would get . . .
"Sit like a Princess, and look at Mommy!"  . . .
"Give Mommy back the Lipstick" . . .
"Look at the Camera for Mommy!" . . .
"Stop Pointing at the Bird" . . .
"LOOK UP!" . . .
"Leave the Princess Crown on!" . . .
"Stay here, no running off" . . .
"Get up off the ground!" . . .
"SMILE like THIS!"
and I would proceed to show her how to smile . . .
"Look at MOMMY!!!" and she would look away like this . . .
"Smile like you mean it!" and THIS is what she gave me . . .
It is a TOUGH job to be a photographer. I used to think I should take a class so I can capture my children in precious moments, but if THIS is what I have to work with FORGET IT!!
It is out of the last three that I am trying to choose . . .
WHAT DO YOU THINK??
There is always this one from her Birthday I like . . .
WHY do I EVEN bother with this child . . .
I have to admit I LOVE her so much looking and laughing at these pictures now, but this morning I was READY TO KILL HER!!

LOL I don't mean to laugh, I just know exactly what you mean. That's why we've only tried to take family pictures twice. It's just so frustrating with them. So now I just keep the camera with me everywhere so that if that precious picture moment happens, I'm ready. I never try to "pose" them anymore because it just never happens. It does get better though. Kyle's finally starting to let me take his picture. . . if I let him take one of me. :-)

Um...I had the same result with all my children for the...ahem...project. It's just kids. Good thing they are so stinking cute. Where are the pics of Landy?

These made me laugh! Because both my kids are the same way!! I love it. I couldn't choose between the last three... the smile one is precious, the one where she's looking up is adorable, and the last one where she has a sneaky small grin... so cute!

Yeah, I take about 10 pictures of my kids and about 1 ends up looking good. So you just have to snap the camera a million times, and a good shot eventually comes!

I had the same problem with Katelyn trying to take pictures outside, she wanted to run around or hop like a frog or point to birds flying by, so I took some inside that turned out a little better. For the most part she didn't want to look at me and when she would and I'd tell her to smile she would bring her hands up to her face so the smile was covered, butthead!
